Who we are

Capital Region Dispatch is local news for Harrisburg and the Susquehanna Valley. We cover the Capitol and state government, roads and transit, Cumberland County, Dauphin County and the outdoors.

We are new. The publication launches with a small set of sections and a simple promise: every story links the public record, release or filing it comes from, and every story is checked before it publishes.

Capital Region Dispatch is published by WD Media, a subsidiary of WD Strategies, based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

How stories are made

Our newsroom uses AI assistance, and we say so. A researcher gathers sources, a writer drafts with AI assistance, an AI copy editor checks claims against the linked sources, and then Harrison Rom, our final editor, gives final approval before publication.
